Tribute to my “first life teacher”

Respected Naniji,

It’s exactly 19 years that you left for the heavenly abode. You might have taken birth as another person or God may have taken the decision to keep you and nanaji with him, forever. Anyways, you both were always the protector and the ones who cared for us always, in addition to our parents.

Mummy still at times narrate about the basic values and life lessons you taught her and all my mama-masi. It ranges from cooking tips to the things which we need to take care of in our daily lives.

I remember all your tips and it feels great that we spent our childhood in your guidance. Even mummy and mama-masis also remember them and might be narrating the same to their kids.

One of them, was that when the time was 01.30PM, I used to say that the time is साढ़े एक and you used to correct us by saying that it’s not साढ़े एक but डेढ़. After 3-4-5 mistakes repetition, I finally learnt to say डेढ़ instead of साढ़े एक.

Your Kaju Katli instance was the one moment I can never forget for the rest of my life.

We will always love you for your devotion to your family and the sanskar you gave to all your kids, which they gave to us. People may think that we are sincere enough and they can fool us, but one who is sincere, God is always his Savior.

This also you taught us. When you left for heavenly abode, I was about to complete 11years but the days we stayed with you are still the golden days. Those days are still fresh in our memory when you use to make special paranthas for us, chhena, home-made ice cream, etc. After you went, then also we ate those things but the magic in your hand was simply ultimate, irreplaceable.

Tough time may come in life, but I don’t fear, because I know that the life lessons by my grandparents and their blessings have equipped me with the power to face those things and emerge out as a winner.

We all love you, naniji.. Miss you tons.. And Stay Happy and Blessed wherever you are.

Your’s grandson
